facebook really winding down who can see posts......but now added "Post targetting"

I know we’ve all heard that Facebook are really tightening up how many people see your posts…..but saw something really interesting today when posting to www.Facebook.com/LiveFootballChat.com ,you now have the ability to “target” who’s feed your posts get sent to.

 

They have shitty targeting criteria (eg should have visited in last 7/30/90 days or Liked 5+/20+50+ posts etc)

 

 

 

I’m assuming you are meant to be using this targeting in order to increase “post interaction” to drive up your ratio (I don’t see it working though…...)

Basically I hold little hope of Facebook bringing users to the various www.LiveFanChat.com/sites , will still post content there...but realistically direct email is the best channel to work with these days....taking out bat and ball and going home :)

Isnt this going to have the same issue that Hot Potato did (also acquired by Facebook in 2010) where there are so many rooms all with different names/topics that you don't get the density for real time discussions?

 

One of the reasons we built www.LiveFanChat.com was to "coalesce" people around a real time discussion (eg tonights #WorldSeries http://www.LiveBaseballChat.com/go/29413 ) instead of using Twitter which is where you see peoples photos of lunch etc.

2014 Singapore F1 under lights this weekend

My favorite F1 of the year is this weekend.

Singapore under lights is such a special and different race. Ever since 2008 I've loved how racing under lights just adds that extra razzmatazz.




Sunday 8pm Singapore time should still be relatively warm with an expected high temperature of 30c (88f) during the day to 27c (80f) at race time.

Announcer Ted Robinson two game suspension

Great....now NFL is suspending announcers for "comments"

Would the last one out turn off the lights....

The 49ers have suspended radio broadcaster Ted Robinson two games for comments he made regarding domestic violence on KNBR on Monday a...fternoon.

In discussing the controversy regarding former Ravens running back Ray Rice, Robinson said the victim, Rice’s wife, Janay, bore some of the responsibility for not speaking up after she was knocked unconscious by her then-fiancee.

“That, to me, is the saddest part of it,” Robinson said.
